The Church Council is comprised of 12 church members and also the Pastor and Youth Director. The Church Moderator chairs out monthly meetings which are held on the 3rd Thursday at 7:30 pm.

Christian Education
Youth Ministry
Finances
Noah’s Ark Pre-School
Church Building Maintenance
Each month, the Council receives reports from the Pastor, Youth Director, Deacons, Deaconesses, and Treasurer. There are also reports from the Fellowship Committee, Mission Committee, and all functional committees. In addition, Council members are invited to come up with ideas to sustain and improve FBC ministry. This sharing allows the Council membership to be informed about the entire life of our church to include its projects, activities, triumphs, and concerns.
The Church Council is also responsible for keeping the church members informed. We do this by sharing reports in the Beacon and also the weekly worship bulletin inserts.
One final question. How does one get to be a member of the Church Council? This happens in two ways: First, the officers of the church – Moderator, Treasurer, etc. – are elected to their respective jobs and in turn are automatically designated Council members. In addition, four members of the church – people who are experienced and well versed in FBC ministry – are nominated and then elected by the congregation at an FBC business meeting to be Council members.
