Just Older Youth (J.O.Y.) is a casually assembled group of First Baptist Seniors. It was established many years ago so that our Church Seniors could enjoy social get-togethers which are fun and life-enhancing. This is accomplished with travels to a variety of sites around New Jersey. Our J.O.Y. Group also attends “no-to-low” charge programs offered by local talent. Although the trips are generally announced in the Church Bulletin, invitations are also made by friendly telephone calls to anyone who expresses an interest.

The Church can usually arrange to meet individual transportation needs if you let us know. All outings leave from the Church parking lot in the Church Van or Bus. We encourage all Church friends to join in. We will gladly add names to the “to be called” list for each event. Just leave your name and telephone number at the Church Office to be included in this vital Church Fellowship.

Some of the events we’ve enjoyed in the past include: A lunch in the FBC Fellowship Hall with a presentation by a government civil servant who discussed the benefits available to Seniors living in Monmouth County; a trip to our magnificent New Jersey countryside to view the Fall colors; a sojourn to the Glass Factory in South Jersey; a bus trip to Wheaton Village; attendance at a concert featuring local Barbershop singing, and also a special Holiday Hand Bell Musical Program.
