Every month, several Ladies in our Church meet for discussion and service to the community. The meetings are usually held in the homes of our members.
In earlier times there were several Ladies circles at FBC. With the changes in society, which include the fact that many Ladies work outside the home, and other reasons – participation in Ladies Circles today is less strong. That not withstanding, FBC has one Circle which is vibrant and strong. Many of the Ladies are seniors, but not all. Younger ones attend, too, i.e., Joyce Kalorin, Eva Ryder’s daughters, Rosalie King, and others.
The group is open to all.
Twice a year, the Ladies also enjoy a special catered meal which is followed with a program. The program at the June 2003 meeting, for instance, was an outstanding presentation by a professional in floral design.
All Ladies are welcome.
FBC also has a Ladies Service Group with a
Missions emphasis called
the White Cross
Group.
It is made up of some of our senior
ladies who cut bandages and provide other
supplies
for our American Baptist mission field.
